Tips on How to Stay Healthy During Cold and Flu Season

Cold and flu season is around the corner, and no one wants to be stuck for a week or two of misery, which may include everything from a runny nose to sore throat to cough. So by taking these basic steps, you can help protect yourself and your family.

First know the difference between the flu and the cold. The flu generally comes on strong with severe symptoms, including fever, chills, body aches, sore throat, stuffy/runny nose, cough, diarrhea, vomiting, fatigue and headache. Although colds can exhibit some of the same symptoms, they usually are not as severe and often do not last as long as flu. If unsure, ask your doctor.
