Extrovert this, Introvert that, that's all you ever hear about. But what about the people that exhibit traits of both? This can sometimes be confusing to other's, but I'm not confused, I'm just an ambivert. The one that's energized and thrive within the company of others, but yet also enjoys and love my quiet time alone to reflect.
We ambiverts don't really prefer one way of functioning over another, in other words, you could say we're neutral. We love spending time with people, love social settings, are sometimes outgoing, but are not overly loud and aggressive like extroverts can be. We like to observe and listen, but we aren't afraid to talk as well.
We like our down time spent, reading or listening to music. We like and need both alone time and people time, but we balance the two because both require different energy and meet different needs. We know when to be outgoing and also when to be reserved; it comes naturally to us to adapt to the situation.
It's easy for ambiverts to become the jack of all trades, because we do well socially and individually.
in my opinion, being an ambivert, is having the best of both worlds.
Interesting. I initially was going to ask you this question "Did you make up this term?" but a quick Google search tells me it is a term! So that's who I am!!!! Thanks
