We all know the saying "THE GRASS ISN'T ALWAYS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE" but is it?
We're always looking for something better because that is just who we are as humans. Everyone tries to do their best in life, but we are never really and truly happy, and sometimes we forget that everyone and everything has it's ups, and downs. We sometimes are envious of what others have, are not satisfied and can't settle on what we already have, that we forget how blessed we are. We make ourselves miserable by constantly thinking about the unknown in an endless quest to find happiness.
To some it may appear that the grass is greener on the other side, because they aren't close enough to see all the weeds and stones that are covered and hidden in that grass. And once they make it across to the other side, they realize that there is no difference between the two. And by then its too late, now they want back what they had or start to search for greener grass elsewhere.
You cannot see whats in the total packages looking from the outside, all you really see is the wrapping. We should be happy and satisfied with who we are, focus on nurturing our existing relationship and acknowledge what we have and by all means making the best of it. Sometimes people have to step off their own lawn in order to appreciate what they have.
