HERE ARE A FEW WAYS YOU MAY BE SABOTAGING YOUR SKIN

Beautiful skin requires knowing what to do and what not to do. Check some of these everyday items that may be causing more harm than good.

OVER-EXFOLIATING
By exfoliating you're getting rid of dead skin, which is a good thing. Exfoliating also helps with getting rid of dull build up, helping to rejuvenate your face and body. But too much of something is never good. By over-exfoliating, your skin will experience redness and irritation. To prevent this, exfoliate once or twice a week. And if you have dry skin, only exfoliate once a week.

DIRTY MAKEUP BRUSHES
Makeup brushes traps excess oil and bacteria. By not cleaning them you're reapplying bacteria to your face everyday. Wash your brush once a week or every other day with a brush cleaner, shampoo or face wash.

NOT USING SUNSCREEN
Yes we all know that putting on sunscreen can be annoying. But it is necessary when it comes to protecting our skin. The can cause sunburn, aging, skin cancer and wrinkling of the skin.

PILLOWCASE
We should try to change our pillowcases regularly. Pillowcases captures oil, dead skin and sweat from our faces nightly, causing us to have breakouts.

SKIPPING ON MOISTURIZER
Everyone should use a moisturizer daily regardless of your skin type. Doing this will prevent a dehydrated complexion. For those with oily/acne skin, opt for oil-free formulas.

CELL PHONE
Your phone could become a breeding ground for bacteria. All the oil and makeup on your face transfer   to your phone, and not to mention the things we touch on a daily basis. Try cleaning your phone daily with alcohol or an anti-bacterial wipe.

USING CLEANSING WIPES INSTEAD OF FACE WASH
Cleansing wipes only remove a few layer of makeup and dirt. Which leaves irritating residue behind that might clog pores and cause breakouts. Opt for a face wash instead.

USING THE WRONG PRODUCTS
What may work for someone else may not work for you. Choosing the right beauty products is not easy. Just because it is pretty and smells nice does not mean it will suit your skin. Be knowledgeable about your skin-type and choose products that will benefit you.
